Ingredients
Pizza
1 Baguette (or French Bread)
Mozzarella, grated
Sprinkle of dried Oregano
Sprinkle of red pepper flakes
Parmesan, grated
Garlic Butter
15 g Butter
15 g Olive oil
2 Garlic cloves, crushed
A spoonful of red pepper flakes
Sauce
1 can of crushed Tomatoes
Sprinkle of dried Oregano
Salt to taste
Instructions
Set the oven to broil on high
Garlic Butter → Set a pan over medium heat and add the butter and olive oil. Once hot, add the crushed garlic cloves and red pepper flakes. Let toast for 45 seconds and then turn off the heat. Strain off the garlic and slice to use as a topping. Save the flavored oil for toasting in step 5.
Tomato Sauce → Add the crushed tomatoes to a bowl. Sprinkle in the oregano and salt. Blend with a hand blender or mix together by hand.
Gather the desired pizza toppings. Add the cheese to a bowl and mix with some oregano and red pepper flake. These flavors will distribute as the cheese melts.
To assemble, cut the baguette in half and flatten it out with a baking sheet. Cover the bread with garlic butter. Place under the broiler for 1-2 minutes until lightly toasted.
Slather the bread in tomato sauce, cover with the seasoned cheese, any additional toppings, and the grated parmesan.
Place under the broiler for 2 to 4 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
